At Wargame Portal, not every item we offer comes through our regular warehouse or backorder pipeline. Some products are sourced directly from a vendor’s website on your behalf—these are referred to as Special Orders.
What Are Special Order Items?
Special Order items are products that are not part of our standard restock process. Instead, we secure them directly from a vendor’s webstore once your order is placed. These items are clearly marked with a “Special Order” badge across the shopping experience:

On the product page
This ensures you know when you’re purchasing a Special Order before checkout.
How They Work
Fulfillment Window: Special Orders generally follow the same 7–10 business day fulfillment window as backorders, but timelines can vary depending on vendor stock and shipping conditions.
Availability: If the item is in stock at the source, it typically arrives to us within 10–14 business days before shipping to you.
Sold Out at Source: If the item is unavailable at the time we attempt to secure it, your order will move into a soft preorder status in our system. It will ship once the vendor restocks and the item becomes available again.
Monitoring: We check Special Order stock at least three times daily and have alerts set up for most sold-out products to secure them quickly when they return.
Cancellation Policy
Once a Special Order is placed, it cannot be canceled generally, as we secure the item on your behalf immediately. If the vendor later confirms the product is discontinued or cannot be fulfilled, your order will be refunded in full.
