At Wargame Portal, not every item we offer comes through our regular warehouse or backorder pipeline. Some products are sourced directly from a vendor’s catalog or webstore on your behalf. These are referred to as Special Order items.
What Are Special Order Items?
Special Order items are products that are not part of our standard restock process. Instead, they are purchased directly for you from the vendor once your order is placed.
These items may be identified with a Special Order badge on the product page or in other areas as you browse the store. On the product page, they are also marked with a notice under the Add to Cart button that states:
“This is a Special Order Item. These are purchased for you directly upon request and are non-refundable. Subject to availability at vendor. Read More Here.”
These notices are shown before checkout so customers can review the item’s status and terms before completing their purchase.
How They Work
Special Orders generally follow a similar fulfillment window to backorders, with most items arriving within 7 to 10 business days. However, timelines can vary depending on vendor stock, processing times, and shipping conditions.
If the item is in stock at the source, it is purchased for you and then shipped to Wargame Portal before being sent to you.
If the item is sold out or unavailable when we attempt to secure it, your order may move into a soft preorder status in our system. It will ship once the vendor restocks and the item becomes available again.
We monitor Special Order availability regularly and use stock alerts where available to secure these products as quickly as possible when they return.
Cancellation Policy
Special Order items are generally non-refundable and cannot be canceled once placed, as they are purchased specifically on your behalf.
If the vendor confirms that the product has been discontinued or cannot be fulfilled, your Special Order will be canceled and refunded in full.
Product Images and Packaging
Some Special Order items may arrive in generic packaging that does not exactly match the product image shown on the item page. When official package images are available, we provide them. Otherwise, these items may arrive in a generic Warhammer product box or similar vendor packaging.
