My Item Says "Shipped" But Still Shows "Pending" or "Accepted"Updated 9 hours ago
It can be frustrating to see your tracking update say your package has shipped, yet the carrier’s system still shows it as “pending” or “accepted at destination.” Here’s what’s happening and what you need to know.
UPS Shipments
This situation is extremely uncommon with UPS, which is why we use them as our primary carrier. UPS scans and updates tracking data consistently, so packages usually show movement within hours of pickup. If you see this status with UPS, it’s almost always just a short delay in their tracking system catching up.
USPS Shipments
If your order is going to a PO Box or to OCONUS states and territories (such as Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or APO/FPO/DPO addresses), it must be delivered through USPS. Please note that USPS has become increasingly notorious for delays in processing scans.
From conversations with multiple postmasters, the majority of delays stem from the Birmingham, Alabama USPS distribution warehouse, where packages can sit without updates longer than expected. Unfortunately, this is outside of our control.
What You Can Do
If you’re concerned about your package’s status:
Reach out to us directly. We’re happy to look deeper into the situation.
We can provide receipts of confirmed pickups from UPS or USPS to show that your order was properly handed off and is in the carrier’s possession.
While tracking delays can be stressful, please be assured that once the carrier has your package, it is moving through their network—even if the scans don’t immediately reflect it.
